Chocolate Pate

This is not the dessert to serve if you are watching your fat intake. This is extremely rich and only a small slice is all you need. Is so devine.

Servings 10 serves


  • 500 grams dark chocolate
  • 100 grams butter
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1/4 cup cream


  • Melt chocolate and butter over a gentle heat. Mix in the egg yolks until well combined. Remove from heat. Mix in cream. Line a 10 x 20 cm loaf tin with baking paper to come over sides and bottom of tin. Pour mixture into prepared tin. Refrigerate until set. Over night is best. To serve remove from tin and cut into slices. This is a nice accompaniment with fresh fruits and biscotti.
