Lamb Koftas
Nothing beats the smell and tastes of Middle Eastern food. I am always looking for different recipes for koftas. This recipe I found on a site Recipe tin eats. I was intrigued and thought I would try this recipe. This has a nice amount of spices which I had in the pantry. I made these kofta without the use of skewers, and made them into bite sized cylinder shape.
Ingredients
Kofta
- 500 grams lamb mince
- 1/2 brown onion, grated
- 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 tsp ground cumin
- 2 tsp ground coriander
- 2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1.5 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Grated onion into the bowl.
- Add spices into bowl
- Add lamb mince and spices to grated onion with breadcrumbs.
- Shaped lamb koftas
- Preheat 1/2 teaspoon oil in a large non-stick frypan over medium-high heat on stove top. Cook in batches for 5 minutes, turning to brown.Alternatively these can be cooked on a bbq or grilled in the oven.
