For those of you that are not familiar with a sausage roll it is a savoury pastry snack. It is popular in NZ, Australia, UK, Ireland and the Netherlands. It is a combination of sausage meat made into a tube shape and wrapped around a sheet of puff pastry and sealed. Then brushed with egg wash and baked in the oven. Served with tomato sauce. They can be served hot or cold.
