Chicken and Beef Lettuce Cups
Ingredients
- 500 grams chicken mince
- 1 tsp fresh ginger finely grated
- 2 cloves garlic crushed
- ½ tsp chilli
- 2 tsp oil
- 2 tbsp. oyster sauce
- 1½ tsp fish sauce
- 2 tsp corn flour
- 4 tsp water
- 60 grams vermicelli noodles
- 12 iceberg lettuce cups
- Some store bought crispy noodles for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, add vermicelli noodles pour over hot water and soak for 2 mins, drain and run under cold water. Set aside. In a wok or pan add on high heat add oil and cook chicken mince until mince is no longer pink. Add garlic, ginger and chilli and cook for 1 minute or till fragrant. Add oyster sauce, fish sauce and 2-4 tbsp. water to chicken Allow to cook for 1 min and add corn flour slurry and allow to thicken slightly. Wash and clean lettuces cups and serve as follows. Divide vermicelli among lettuce cups. Add chicken mince and top with crispy noodles or what ever you have on hand.
Notes
This is an easy and quick meal to make and you can substitute chicken for beef or pork .
