  • 500 grams pork mince
  • 12 whole prawns or prawn meat chopped fine
  • 1/4 cup shallots chopped
  • 1 tsp ginger finely grated
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce


  • Chop prawn meat until finely chopped. In a bowl add prawn meat to the pork mince, grated ginger, soy sauce, hoisin sauce and shallots. Season with salt & pepper. Mix till just combined. Keep your wonton wrappers covered with a moist cloth. Fill wontons one at a time. Place 1 tsp of filling on one side of wrapper. Moisten edges with water. Fold wrapper diagonally over filling to form a triangle.Firmly press to seal edges. Place on a baking sheet. These can boiled . Bring a large pot of water to the boil. Add 6 wontons at a time . They are cooked when they rise to the top about 3 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon. Place on a tray in a single layer, cover and keep warm. These can also be deep fried.
