A lovely chocolate biscuit with walnuts and coconut, with a lovely chocolate icing.

  • 125 grams butter, softened
  • 1 cup icing sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/4 cup plain flour
  • 2 Tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup desiccated coconut
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped

Chocolate Icing

  • 2 cups icing sugar
  • 1/4 tsp butter, softened
  • 2 Tbsp water
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 Tbsp cocoa powder


  • Preheat oven to 200C. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
  • Beat butter and icing sugar until light and creamy. Add sifted dry ingredients, coconut and walnuts to creamed mixture. Mix well to combine.
  • Place in small spoonfuls on the lined baking trays.
  • Bake for 15 minutes. When cold sandwich together with a chocolate icing or any other cream filling.

Chocolate Icing

  • Sift icing sugar and cocoa into a bowl. Add butter. Add sufficient water to mix to a spreadable consistency.
