Peach & Strawberry cake


  • 3-4 peach slices can be fresh or tinned
  • 1/2 cup fresh strawberries sliced in half
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 125 gram butter softened
  • 1 cup raw sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • Icing sugar to dust


  • Pre-heat oven 180 C. Grease and line a 20 cm round cake tin. Cream the butter sugar until pale and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time until mixture is combined. Mix in sifted dry ingredients. Pour batter into prepared tin, arrange fruit on top. Bake for 45-50 minutes. Dust with icing sugar and served with plain yoghurt or whipped cream.
