Chicken Pieces in a Barbecue Marinade

  • 2 tbsp tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsp barbecue sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp hot chilli sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic crushed
  • 2 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 6 chicken thigh cutlets
  • 6 chicken thigh fillets
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp water


  • Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Mix well. Add all the chicken to the marinade and allow to marinade for at least 30 minutes.
  • Pre heat oven to 200 C. Place chicken pieces in a single layer and cook for 40 minutes or until chicken is cooked. Once cooked take chicken pieces out and cover to keep warm.
  • Add left over marinade to a saucepan and reduce it for about 5 minutes. Mix water and cornstarch together and then add to marinade to thicken up. Brush marinade over chicken pieces.
