A simple savoury quiche, for lunch or dinner.
1 cup cooked ham, diced
1 onion, finely chopped
1/2 red and green capscium, finely chopped
8 large eggs
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 Tbsp butter
salt and pepper, to taste
1 cup cheese. shredded
- Preheat oven to 180 C. Grease a 9″inch pie plate.
- In a fry pan add butter on medium heat and cook onion and capscium until soft about 2-3 minutes. Combine cooked onion and capscium and ham in a pie plate.
- Whisk eggs and cream and seasonings. Pour over ham mixture.
- Bake uncovered 40 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center come out clean. If your quiche browns before center is cooked. Cover with foil and continue cooking . A knife inserted in the center comes out clean, than it is cooked. Accompany this with a salad and crusty bread.
